Cornel Olar, a Romanian music producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, began his musical journey with classical guitar over three decades ago. He has since become renowned in Europe for his skills as an acoustic and electric guitarist, bass player, and for producing albums across various genres. Cornel's talents have opened doors with notable Romanian bands and artists, including Phoenix and Paula Seling, and have won him acclaim as a lead engineer and producer at Christian Studio Mesaj in Cluj-Napoca. He produced and engineered the 10 year anniversary for the Timisoara Gospel Project, a massive production in western Romania. He has been an expert judge in distinctive talent competitions in Romania, and won “Hunedoara’s Got Talent” together with one of his students.

Alongside his professional achievements, Cornel with his wife Shari have contributed significantly to humanitarian efforts through Talmid Ministries, the organization of her parents that supports needy families in Romania with essentials and education.

Now based in Belgium, Cornel balances his career in commercial photography and videography, guitar teaching, worship leading, and music production, with his role as a devoted husband and father to three children.

Together Cornel Olar and Stacy Marie Walker are producing their Christian musical epic project “TRANSCEND: The Trilogy”, for which Cornel does many things including head engineer, lead guitarist, and musical director for live shows. This project embodies Cornel's passion for music and his commitment to making a positive impact through his artistry.

KICKSTARTER
Then, Now & Next

The generosity of our backers propelled the "TRANSCEND in Transylvania" Kickstarter campaign to a stunning success, achieving 400% beyond our initial financial goal! This extraordinary support made it possible to wrap up the production of Album 1 in Romania. We have now shifted into the post-production phase where we recently spent 40 days in Europe relaunching the project after 9 years of dormancy and are beginning to unveil this unique Kingdom music.

Together, Stacy (American) from Atlanta, GA in the United States, and Cornel (Romanian) from Antwerp, Belgium in Europe bring their exceptional talents to TRANSCEND. Daily FaceTime calls are our go-to for collaboration and connection.

Looking forward, we dream of seeing churches worldwide touched by our music, and we aspire to host global tours to bring our songs directly to you. We want the success of the project to be a blessing to other ministries. We also hope to secure the necessary visas and funding to work full-time side-by-side on TRANSCEND, enhancing our productivity for the exciting significant work still ahead of us. With two more albums on the horizon, our journey is just beginning.

TRANSCEND Travels & Timeline

Stacy and Cornel live on opposite sides of the globe. The internet is incredible, though only so much can be accomplished online. The production of “Trials & Tribulation” (Album 1) has required a lot of traveling and living in other countries and cultures. Stacy has lived in Romania twice, Cornel in the States twice, and Stacy in Belgium once. Below is an overview of our travels with video glimpses into nurturing the TRANSCEND project to completion.

PRE-PRODUCTION (2010-2011)

In 2010-2011, Stacy spent 100 days in Romania with Cornel and his family to begin the pre-production for Album 1.

Together they lived in Romosel, an 800 year old village in Hunedoara, tucked away at the edge of the ancient forests of the Transylvanian Alps.

Living in humble circumstances (i.e. no running water, using an outhouse, electricity issues) they forged ahead with the birthing of the TRANSCEND project. “Despise not the day of small beginnings.” Romosel was the Bethlehem for TRANSCEND.

While there, Stacy gave music classes to the gypsy children through the Humanitarian aid organization of Cornel’s parent-in laws, Talmid Ministries.

RECORDINGS & TOURS (2011-2012)

In 2011 and 2012, Cornel and his wife came to the States to live with Stacy and her husband for Cornel and Stacy to continue recording Album 1 and start doing concerts to bring the musical message to the people.

Two summer tours across the southeast and Texas culminated in the Premiere concert for “Trials & Tribulation” on November 17, 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia.

PRODUCTION (2014-2015)

In 2014-2015, Stacy lived in Romania for 13 months together with Cornel and his missionary family to continue production for Album 1. This was made possible by the generous support of our Kickstarter backers who supported our campaign “TRANSCEND In Transylvania”.

All in all, Album 1 is 17 songs interspersed with various intermezzos that weave the entire listening experience together. Thousands of tracks and years of our lives have been poured in to this project for the glory of God and the blessing of many.

POST-PRODUCTION (2024)

Life happened upon Stacy’s return to the States in 2015. She and Cornel began separately raising their families and Stacy encountered numerous health issues that left her fighting for her life more than once. The Lord sustained her and made a way that 9 years later she and Cornel were reunited side-by-side for 40 days in Belgium to begin the post-production for Album 1.
